About Emery County Criminal History

Emery County criminal records are split among the Sheriff's Office in Castle Dale, the Seventh District and Justice courts, the Utah Bureau of Criminal Identification, Utah Department of Corrections, and Utah's Sex, Kidnap, and Child Abuse Offender registry. That split can make a basic search confusing. This private reference site organizes official portals, phone numbers, addresses, fees, and request routes so readers can identify the office that created and maintains the record they need. It also marks the difference between a booking, a filed court case, and a fingerprint-supported state history, since those records may not show the same facts at the same time.

Why We Built This Site

Utah does not keep every criminal record in one public system. Emery County sheriff reports and booking information begin with the Sheriff's Office. Filed charges and dispositions belong to the court that heard the case. The Utah Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Criminal Identification holds the fingerprint-supported statewide history and generally provides it through subject access, not a public name search. Utah Department of Corrections and the state offender registry answer still other questions. We assembled the official access routes so readers can distinguish these products and avoid sending a request to the wrong custodian.

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site, not part of Emery County or the State of Utah. No Utah court, sheriff, police office, or state agency operates it. Those boundaries mean:

  • We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
  • We cannot file expungement petitions, records requests, or any other paperwork on your behalf
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
  • We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now

Only the office that maintains a record, such as the Emery County Sheriff, a Utah court, or Utah BCI, can issue an official copy. This resource can identify that office, but it cannot supply the document.

Search Partners

Third-party providers power search boxes on some pages. Each provider controls its own results, fees, terms, and data practices. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may generate a referral fee that supports site operations. We neither set those charges nor control the records a partner returns.
